When women glorify the beauties of the world

An exhibition of works of art by Turkmen women ceramicists entitled "When women glorify the beauties of the world" has opened at the Local- history museum of Arkadag. The exhibition featured a collection of ceramic works by Gulara Babayeva, a lecturer in the Department of Decorative and Applied Arts at the State Academy of Arts of Turkmenistan, and fifth-year students of the ceramic arts department at the same university. The exhibition features a wide range of ceramic works by Gulara Babayeva's students: Lachin Toylieva, Maya Tejenova, Jemal Batyrova, Ogulbahar Annamukhammedova, and Patmagozel Atabayeva. Gulara Babayeva is a talented artist renowned in Turkmenistan's applied and decorative arts, particularly ceramics. Her works include pieces dedicated to historical female figures, such as "Tumarsha," "Amazons," and "Dayahatyn." In her ceramic and decorative works, Gulara Babayeva uses Turkmen national motifs and images of historical and fairytale heroes, striving to express our national spirit and traditions in a contemporary way. Her works are distinguished by their history, traditions, originality, thematic selection, and decorative features. The teacher's ceramic works incorporate new approaches not only to form but also to the use of color and glaze. Gulara Babayeva not only creates her own works but also shares her experience with young artists, ceramicists, and students, teaching them decorative techniques in ceramics. As a mentor, she teaches her students not only technical skills, but also the emotional side of the work and the importance of constant openness to innovation in the profession.
